Samsung Electronics has implemented a ban on the use of popular generative AI tools like ChatGPT by its employees after sensitive code was uploaded to the platform.

Samsung is concerned that data transmitted to AI platforms like Google Bard and Bing could end up being disclosed to other users and is difficult to retrieve and delete.

The new rules ban the use of generative AI systems on company-owned devices and networks and breaking the policies could result in termination of employment.

Samsung is creating its own internal AI tools and working on ways to block the upload of sensitive information.
