According to the details shared in a recent tweet by Revegnus, Samsung may release the Z Fold 5 and Z Flip 5 in July instead of late August. This earlier release is attributed to Samsung's plan to start mass production of foldable phone hinges in early June, which is a departure from their usual production schedule.
As per leaked information, the Galaxy Z Fold 5 is expected to boast a new ‘droplet' hinge design with an IPX8 build and may run on One UI 5.1.1 based on Android 13. Both the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5 are expected to be powered by a custom Qualcomm Snapdragon for Galaxy SoC.
The Galaxy Z Fold 5 is rumoured to have a triple rear camera setup, while the Galaxy Z Flip 5 could come with a dual camera unit at the back. The storage options for these phones may vary, with the Galaxy Z Fold 5 available in 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB options, and the Galaxy Z Flip 5 arriving in 128GB, 256GB, and 512GB models. The colour options for these phones may also differ, with the Galaxy Z Flip 5 expected to be available in beige, grey, light green, and light pink shades, and the Galaxy Z Fold 5 in beige, black, and light blue hues.
