Qualcomm’s SVP, Alex Katouzian, accidentally revealed on LinkedIn that the upcoming Nothing Phone (2) will use the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chip. The post has now been removed.

The device's pricing will rise due to the chipset upgrade from Snapdragon 778G+ to Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1, as well as other hardware enhancements.

The Nothing Phone (2) is already confirmed to be a more "premium" smartphone than the Phone (1) and it is expected to be released in Q3 2022.

Despite the unintentional reveal, the event has increased expectation and enthusiasm among fans of the new company.
