WhatsApp has released an update for its iPhone app that enables users to use the picture-in-picture feature while on video calls. Picture-in-Picture was announced by WhatsApp in December and made available to beta users before becoming available to all iPhone users. The release notes for version 23.3.77 of the app confirm the addition of picture-in-picture. The feature works similarly to other apps such as FaceTime, with the video call displayed in a small floating window when the app is minimised.
