Samsung has unveiled its latest feature, Bixby Text Call, for select smartphones in India.

This new addition allows users to harness the power of Bixby's automated voice assistance to answer and respond to incoming calls.

Initially launched in Korean, the feature has now been made available in English and expanded to more countries.

How Bixby Text Call works, features, and compatibility

Bixby Text Call operates seamlessly by allowing users to select the feature whenever they receive an incoming call. Upon activation, Bixby responds to the caller on behalf of the recipient and enquires about the purpose of the call.

Users can conveniently choose from a variety of predefined quick responses or type their own messages using the keyboard.

Once a response is crafted, Bixby reads it out to the caller, ensuring a smooth communication process. Users can also review and read through previous conversations.

The Bixby Text Call feature is compatible with a range of Samsung smartphones including the Galaxy Fold 5, Flip 5, Fold 4, Flip 4, Fold 3, Flip 3, Fold 2, Flip, Flip 5G, Fold 5G, Galaxy S23, S23+, S23 Ultra, S22, S22+, S22 Ultra, S21, S21+, S21 Ultra, S20, S20+, S20 Ultra, S20 FE, Galaxy A34, A54, A52s 5G, A82 5G, A53 5G, A33 5G, A71 5G, A51 5G, and the Galaxy Note 20/ Note 20+.

How to use Bixby Text Call

To enable Bixby Text Call, users need to follow a simple set of steps.

They first need to access the Phone settings, select More Options (represented by three dots), navigate to Settings, and finally, locate the Bixby text call option.

Once activated, users can further personalise the experience by customising the voice of Bixby and adding new quick responses or editing existing ones.
