Samsung is expanding its popular Samsung Galaxy M-series in India with the arrival of the Samsung Galaxy M55 and Samsung Galaxy M15. The company has confirmed an April 8th launch date and indicated the Indian variants will differ from those released globally.
The Samsung Galaxy M55 5G focuses on delivering a premium experience. Its 6.7-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED Plus Infinity-O Display boasts exceptional smoothness with a 120Hz refresh rate and impressive 1000 nits peak brightness.
Powering this device is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 (4nm) Mobile Platform, ideal for performance-driven users. Storage and memory are generous, with up to 12GB RAM and 256GB internal storage, expandable further via microSD (up to 1TB). It runs Android 11 with Samsung's One UI 3.1 interface.
The Samsung Galaxy M55 5G features a triple rear camera with a 50MP primary sensor (with OIS), an 8MP ultrawide camera, and a 2MP depth sensor. Selfies get a boost with a 50MP front camera.
A 5,000mAh battery with 45W fast charging ensures you'll stay powered up. Color options include Light Green and Denim Black.
The Samsung Galaxy M15 5G offers a compelling mix of features. It has a 6.5-inch FHD+ Infinity-V Super AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate. At its heart lies the MediaTek Dimensity 700 5G processor, providing strong performance and 5G connectivity.
It comes with ample storage and memory configurations (up to 8GB RAM and 256GB expandable storage). Like the M55, it runs Android 11 with One UI 3.1.
Camera-wise, the Samsung Galaxy M15 5G features a 50MP main sensor, a 5MP ultrawide, and a 2MP macro lens within its triple rear setup. Front-facing camera duties are handled by a 13MP sensor. There's a side-mounted fingerprint sensor for security and a massive 6,000mAh battery with 25W fast charging. Color options are Celestine Blue, Stone Grey, and Blue Topaz.
Industry insider Sudhanshu Ambhore reports potential pricing for the Samsung Galaxy M55 5G in India. The base model (8GB RAM, 128GB storage) may start at Rs. 26,999.
Ambhore also indicates possible price points of Rs. 29,999 (8GB RAM, 256GB storage) and Rs. 32,999 (12GB RAM, 256GB storage). Additionally, the Galaxy M15 5G could be priced at Rs. 13,499 (4GB RAM, 128GB storage) and Rs. 14,999 (6GB RAM, 128GB storage). These prices remain unconfirmed by Samsung.
