Realme 12x 5G launching in India on April 2nd: Price and specifications revealed

Realme's upcoming Realme 12x 5G is set to debut in India on April 2nd. Importantly, the company has confirmed that the phone will be priced below Rs 12,000,  positioning it as an affordable entry into the 5G market. Let's take a closer look at the key specifications.

Realme 12x 5G: Display and Performance

The Realme 12x 5G will feature a 6.72-inch LCD display with Full HD+ resolution. It boasts a 120Hz refresh rate for smooth scrolling and visuals, along with a peak brightness of 950 nits for better readability outdoors.  

Under the hood, the phone will utilize the MediaTek Dimensity 6100+ processor, a popular choice in budget-friendly 5G devices. Expect a vapor chamber cooling system to manage thermals. Users will get the latest Android 14 experience out of the box.

Realme 12x 5G: Camera, Battery, and Features

The main camera on the Realme 12x 5G will be a 50MP sensor, likely aimed at solid photography within its price range. 

Powering the device will be a 5000mAh battery, and Realme emphasizes the inclusion of 45W SuperVOOC fast charging. This positions the Realme 12x 5G as a potential leader in charging speeds for sub-Rs 12,000 5G phones.

Additional Realme 12x 5G features include a slim  7.69mm build, stereo speakers for enhanced media consumption, and an IP54 rating for basic dust and water resistance.  

Users can also expect Air gesture support and a unique "rainwater smart touch" feature, the full functionality of which remains to be unveiled.
