Qualcomm is gearing up to unveil its latest Snapdragon chipsets at an eagerly awaited event, generating buzz within the technology sector.
The highlight of the show will be the introduction of the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 and Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 chips, showcasing the forefront of Mobile SoC development.
These new processors are expected to build upon the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 architecture, which was initially launched in October 2023.
An interesting rumour points to the upcoming Realme GT Neo 6 series as one of the first to incorporate these cutting-edge chips, underscoring Qualcomm's prominent role in the smartphone arena.
A Weibo post by Qualcomm served as a teaser for the event, indicating the launch of its flagship Snapdragon offerings on March 18. The tagline "Wisdom is in the core" hints at significant enhancements in artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities for the forthcoming chipsets.
Although the exact models were not explicitly mentioned, there is strong speculation around the debut of the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 and Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 processors.
Information gleaned from various leaks and rumours sheds light on what to expect from these anticipated chipsets. The Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 is rumoured to feature a Cortex-X4 core running at 3.01GHz, complemented by four Cortex-A720 cores and three Cortex-A520 cores, alongside an Adreno 735 GPU.
Conversely, the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 is believed to sport a similar core configuration with minor adjustments in clock speeds and an Adreno 732 GPU. Both SoCs are said to leverage the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 architecture.
The Realme GT Neo 6 series is poised to be among the first batch of smartphones to feature these Snapdragon chips, highlighting the newest Mobile SoCs from Qualcomm.
Alongside the GT Neo 6, other anticipated devices such as the iQOO Neo 9, OnePlus Ace 3V, and Vivo Pad 3 are expected to benefit from Qualcomm's innovative technology, demonstrating the brand's widespread impact on the smartphone market.
