Asus ROG Phone 5 Ultimate to go on sale in India from December 26: check specs, details

The Asus ROG Phone 5 Ultimate edition, the most premium variant of Asus’ gaming phone, will reach Indian shores soon. The ROG Phone 5 base variant was launched in India in March 2021, but this is the first time the Ultimate edition, with some extra features, will go on sale in the country.

Asus ROG Phone 5 Ultimate price and availability

The Asus ROG Phone 5 Ultimate will be available for sale starting 12PM on December 26. The gaming phone will be available exclusively from Flipkart. The Asus ROG Phone 5 Ultimate price in India has been set at ₹79,999 for 18GB + 512GB.

Asus ROG Phone 5 Ultimate specs

The Asus ROG Phone 5 is powered by the Snapdragon 888 SoC, with the Adreno 660 GPU. The smartphone comes with a whopping 18GB LPDDR5 RAM, along with 512GB UFS 3.1 storage. On the front, the ROG Phone 5 Ultimate sports a 6.78-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate, 300Hz touch sampling rate, and HDR10+ support. The front display also gets Corning Gorilla Glass Victus protection.

On the back, the phone comes in the Storm White colour, and features a monochrome PMOLED display, which is exclusive to the Ultimate variant.

For optics, the ROG Phone 5 Ultimate features a 64MP Sony IMX686 sensor for the primary camera, along with a 13MP ultra-wide lens, and a 5MP macro lens. For selfies, it gets a 24MP front-facing camera.

The ROG Phone 5 Ultimate gets all the gaming features of its base variant, like the ultrasonic AirTrigger sensors on the shoulder. The Ultimate variant also gets two extra touch-sensitive areas on the rear, for even more physical buttons available while gaming.

Keeping the lights on is a 6,000mAh battery, along with 30W fast charging support.
