Microsoft has introduced its Copilot AI assistant to Windows 11, making it the first operating system with centralised AI assistance.

The assistant will be integrated into Windows 11 and can be accessed from the taskbar, allowing users to find answers to questions, personalise and navigate their PC.

The AI assistant can also take action on user prompts such as adjusting settings, enabling dark mode and snapping all windows.

A preview of Windows Copilot will be available in June, before a wider rollout to all Windows 11 users.
