Microsoft has announced the launch of Microsoft 365 Copilot, an AI-powered upgrade for its productivity apps.

Using GPT-4 technology from language model provider OpenAI, Copilot can help users generate documents, presentations, spreadsheets and different types of content, as well as surface relevant content on Microsoft Teams.

The tool features multiple safeguards, including prompts to check and modify content, try again buttons that give the tool the opportunity to learn from natural language commands, and links and citations to sources provided.

Microsoft is currently testing Microsoft 365 Copilot with selected commercial customers and has yet to reveal pricing and licensing details.
