AirTags are compact devices that can be attached to any item for location tracking. They connect to nearby Apple devices via Bluetooth, enabling users to monitor the location. These devices are highly valuable for tracking lost or stolen items and ensuring the security of goods in transit. Journalist Pamela Cerdeira recently demonstrated the practicality of AirTags. She used them to monitor two donations intended for Turkey. Suspecting that the donations might not reach their destination, she discreetly placed an AirTag inside each item. Using the Find My app, Cerdeira tracked the donations and discovered that they had been separated, with no delivery to Turkey. Instead, the items appeared in different markets in Mexico City, where vendors were reselling them.Cerdeira's experience emphasizes the versatility of AirTags. They serve as a powerful tool for locating lost or stolen items, monitoring the movement of goods, and exposing fraudulent activities.
