Instagram has added a new feature that allows users to schedule various posts on the platform.
Users can now schedule an image, a post carousel, or a Reel up to 75 days before they want the post to go live.

However, Instagram is only making this feature available to the platform's creators.

Prior to this update, Instagram users could only schedule live videos for up to 90 days in advance on the Meta-owned photo and video sharing platform.

How to schedule a post/video/Reel on Instagram

  • Click the plus sign at the top of the Instagram app to choose an image or video you want to share. You can also tap your profile picture with a plus sign on top to start making a Reel.
  • Tap the "Next" button and then choose the filter you want to add.
  • Now, compose a caption, tag any individuals you wish to mention in the post, add a location, and add your preferred music.
  • Tap the Advanced Settings option at the bottom of the page after you've created the shareable post, but prior to sharing it.
  • Now, go to the bottom of the page and tap the "Schedule this post" button.
  • Choose the time and date you want the post to show up in your followers' feeds.
  • Finally, tap the "Schedule" post button to finish scheduling the post.
