Indian Army Chief General, Manoj Pande, recently stated that India intends to introduce several new technologies along the Line of Actual Control (LAC) with China, including a variety of drones for intelligence, reconnaissance, surveillance, and counter drones with varying soft and hard kill options.

Furthermore, AI-based systems are being developed to improve picture interpretation, detect infiltration, and quantum computing. The Army is also interested in acquiring counter-drone technologies and swarm drones.

AI is being used to improve the interpretation of satellite photos, and such niche technologies can be introduced via a variety of channels, including iDEX and Make 2 projects.
