India to launch the first indigenous chipset by 2023-24

At a conference organised by Tenstorrent at Bengaluru in Karnataka, IT minister Rajeev Chandrasekhar praised India's growing role in open-source computer chip design using RISC-V. Indian startups using RISC-V have opportunities to collaborate with global companies like Tenstorrent. The Digital India RISC-V program aims to launch the first indigenous chipset by 2023-24. Chandrasekhar commended Jim Keller's decision to establish Tenstorrent's office in India. Young Indians will play a crucial role in shaping the future of semiconductor design and creating innovative solutions, according to Chandrasekhar.
