Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman presented the Union Budget 2023-24 on Wednesday. To simplify the KYC process and anonymise individual data, a National Data Governance policy was included in it.
The National Data Governance Policy will enable access to anonymised data and was deliberated by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology from 2020. The policy will provide an institutional framework of data/datasets/metadata and ensure privacy, security and trust.
