Google's AI chatbot, Bard, has been updated with significant new features that enhance its utility and creativity. This update introduces two major capabilities: the creation of images from text prompts and the improvement of its self-verification feature to include more languages.

Image Generation with Google Imagen 2 Model

One of the most exciting new features is image generation. This allows users to describe a scene or object in natural language, and Bard will generate a photorealistic image based on that description. This capability is powered by Google's Imagen 2 model, which is designed to produce high-quality images quickly.

The Imagen 2 model is not just about speed and quality; it also incorporates SynthID technology to embed digital watermarks in the images. This technology helps distinguish AI-generated images from those created by humans.

Google has also taken steps to ensure that the Imagen 2 model avoids generating harmful or inappropriate content by vetting the training data and blocking the creation of specific individuals' likenesses.

Expanding the Double-Check Feature

Bard's double-check feature, which allows the chatbot to verify its responses against credible online sources, has been expanded to over 40 languages. Initially available only in English, this feature now supports a wide range of languages, making Bard a more reliable source of information for users around the world.

Broadening Language Support with Gemini Pro

In addition to the new image generation feature, Bard has been internally upgraded with Gemini Pro across more languages and countries. Gemini Pro enhances Bard's abilities in understanding, reasoning, summarizing, and coding, making it one of the most advanced AI chatbots available.

This expansion makes Bard more versatile and capable of engaging in complex conversations across a broader linguistic spectrum.

With these updates, Google's Bard has become a more powerful and creative tool. The ability to generate photorealistic images from text prompts opens up new possibilities for creativity and design.

At the same time, the expanded double-check feature and broader language support with Gemini Pro make Bard a more reliable and versatile assistant. These advancements showcase Google's commitment to improving AI technology and making it more accessible and useful for users worldwide.
