Gaming Expo E3 has been cancelled in 2023 due to lack of sustained interest.

The big three of gaming — PlayStation, Xbox, and Nintendo — had already pulled out of the event in January, leaving only a handful of major publishers interested.

Ubisoft, Tencent, and Sega subsequently confirmed they would skip E3 as well. Instead, companies may look to participate in digital alternatives, such as Geoff Keighley's Summer Game Fest.

E3 organiser ReedPop said that it would re-evaluate the future of the event.
