To make streets safer and prevent road accidents, some students in Indore, Madhya Pradesh have claimed to have created an anti-sleep device.

A sensor is mounted on a pair of spectacles. If a person wearing the glasses closes their eyes, an alarm starts ringing. The alarm stops if the wearer opens their eyes.

It is meant to prevent drivers from falling asleep at the wheel.

The inventors told the news agency ANI that the device was created in 3 weeks by 5 people.
