With the Altroz, Tata has made a successful entry into the premium hatchback segment. But, what the Altroz lacked was a powerful petrol engine, and Tata is changing that with the introduction of the 1.2-litre turbocharged engine in the Tata Altroz. Now powered with 108bhp and 140Nm, the engine offers enhanced performance and better drivability in the Altroz. Also added to the Altroz are smart connectivity options. Question is, does the new engine make the Tata Altroz a better package and a better rival to the Hyundai i20 and Maruti Suzuki Baleno? We drive it to find out.
