Tamil Nadu knocks SC's door against Karnataka over Mekedatu dam

After opposition parties in Tamil Nadu called for a protest against the centre over the construction of the Mekedatu dam on the Cauvery river, the state has now moved the Supreme Court asking for a stay in the permission given to Karnataka to prepare a project report. The Central Water Commission had told the Karnataka Neeravari Nigam Ltd last week, to go ahead with the preparation of detailed report for the Mekedatu Reservoir.
