Amid drastic political change in Afghanistan, their cricket board CEO Hamid Shinwari has assured that the game won't suffer as Taliban love and support cricket.
In a conversation with PTI, Shinwari said that Taliban has supported them since the beginning and has never interfered in the board's activities. Shinwari also assured that the members of the national team and their families are safe as the Taliban took over the reins of the country.
Afghanistan's star cricketers Rashid Khan and Mohammad Nabi are currently in the UK playing The Hundred.
