Former Pakistan women's team captain Sana Mir applauded Virat Kohli for handling India's defeat against the arch rivals in T20 World Cup 2021 with so much grace.

In her column for the ICC, Mir wrote that every Pakistani was waiting to see their team beat India in a World Cup game for so long but she admires Virat's sportsman's spirit. It's really good to see the top athletes, who are role models, behaving in the way they did. It shows a lot of security within, and it means they have a lot of confidence to bounce back, added Mir.

It was the first time in history that Pakistan beat India in a World Cup game. The streak stood at 12-0 overall and 5-0 in T20 World Cups before this game.
