Syria's air defence intercept 'Israeli missiles' over Damascus

The Syrian air defence thwarted Israeli missile attacks that targeted areas in capital Damascus on Tuesday, according to media reports. The Israeli attack was carried out from inside the Lebanese airspace and the air defence intercepted a number of missiles. Reports said Israeli warplanes infiltrated the Lebanese airspace at the time of the attack. A Syrian military official told state media that a military depot was hit, and three soldiers were injured. Syria said most of the missiles were intercepted. Israel has not confirmed the strikes.
