Food delivery platform Swiggy has introduced a two-day period leave policy for it women staff.
Swiggy announced that it has accommodated a “no-questions-asked, two-day paid monthly period time-off policy” for its women delivery partners.
Swiggy's vice-president Mihir Shah was quoted as saying that discomfort from being out and about on the road while menstruating is probably one of the most underreported reasons why many women don’t consider delivery to be a viable gig.
