With their backs up against the wall, Chennai Super Kings came out fighting as they registered a much-needed win against Sunrisers Hyderabad on Tuesday night. Batting first, Shane Watson & Ambati Rayudu put on 81 runs for the 3rd wicket which propelled the MS Dhoni-led side to a respectable total. The Sunrisers did manage to stage a comeback in the final few overs but could only stop Chennai at 167/6. In reply, Chennai kept tight control over Hyderabad's destructive openers Jonny Bairstow and David Warner. Kane Williamson cut loose in the middle and scored 57 off 39 balls but that wasn't enough as they were restricted to 147/8 as Chennai registered a comfortable 20 run win. 3rd win for Chennai in 8 games as Hyderabad slumped to their 5th loss in the same number of outings.
