With their backs against the wall, Sunrisers Hyderabad produced a stellar display as they thrashed Rajasthan Royals by 8 wickets on Thursday. Batting first, Rajasthan were hoping for a big total but could only manage a below-par 154/6 from 20 overs. Samson scored 36 & Stokes came up with 30 but the rest failed to deliver. Jason Holder playing his first game for SRH this season picked up 3 wickets for 33 runs. In reply, Jofra Archer tore apart the opening combo for SRH as he removed his bunny, David Warner, for the 6th time in 7 outings this year. Bairstow too fell soon as SRH were staring down the barrel at 16/2. While Vijay Shankar blunted the bowling attack, Manish Pandey launched a counter against the Rajasthan bowlers. While Pandey remained unbeaten on 83 off 47, Vijay Shankar too crafted a fifty as they put on an unbeaten 140 stand to take their team past the finish line. An 8-wicket win for SRH as they climbed to the 5th spot in the league.
