Summers are officially here and it's the perfect time to update your wardrobe for the hotter months. While it's normal to associate hot pants and casual t-shirts with the season, we think you should not forget about the easy breezy allure of summer sarees.

Sarees are the perfect way to embrace desi fashion and make a style statement while you’re at it. Some people often associate sarees with occasion wear but this versatile garment works just as well for casual, every day wearing as well.

Here is a review of some saree styles that every person should have in their summer wardrobe!

COLOURFUL FLORALS

Summer isn’t complete without a good, bright floral print. And with none other than Sabyasachi promoting the print, who are we to shy away from it! Invest in as many colourful floral sarees as you like as this is one look that will always be on-trend, summer after summer.

VARIANTS OF WHITE

With all the colour and sunshine overload, many people prefer to stick to whites in the summer. A white shirt is after all a wardrobe must-have! Well, so is a good white saree. Whether you like it with a gold border, some sequins or a sprinkle of colour, it is hard to go wrong with a stylish white saree this summer season.

HAND PRINTED INDIGO

Bagru is a traditional Rajasthani printing technique that produces the most eye-catching indigo fabrics. A local hand-printed artisanal work, indigo sarees are beautiful and no pieces ever look the same. The soft cotton sarees are easy to breathe in, affordable and look stunning as well!

GO FOR ORGANZA

Nothing says summer quite like the feeling of crisp organza. Sarees in organza look ethereal and rich but are very light and comfortable to wear on hot days. Whether it’s a daytime wedding or a late brunch, the natural sheen in organza makes it the perfect saree for all occasions.

SOFT PASTEL COLOURS

Not a fan of bright highlighter colours? Go for soft, pastel hues that look subtle yet chic. The light colours keep you cooler as they attract less light and give fresh spring vibes. Pastel cotton sarees are also a favourite of Bollywood stars, thanks to their comfortable versatility.

So which summer saree are you going to be donning this season?
