The Centre on Monday told the Supreme Court that the National Buildings Construction Commission Limited or NBCC has proposed to finish the construction of the Unitech housing projects overseen by a court-appointed committee headed by a retired high court judge to ensure quick delivery in a limited time. NBCC has sought construction fee of ₹50 crore and 2% of the entire project for its due dilligence. However, the court observed that NBCC will not execute the work and will sub-contract if required and further directed to upload the proposal on the website where as it asked home buyers' to submit their suggestion by August 2. The decision came after counsel of home buyers' argued that NBCC's capability and pointed that the proposal was not similar to Amrapali's.
