The city of Shillong is dipped in hues of pink as cherry blossoms are in full bloom. The annual India International Cherry Blossom Festival, however, has been cancelled due to the Covid-19 outbreak. In a normal year, the city would be dotted with tourists who would flock to witness the splendor of the blossoms, but with the pandemic this year, number of visitors were low.
