Police has recovered a stolen 500-year-old copy of Salvator Mundi by Leonardo da Vinci in a Naples flat.
The painting has now been returned to the Museum of San Domenico Maggiore in Naples. The owner of the apartment who stole it has been arrested.
The copy of the painting showcases Jesus Christ with a crystal orb in one hand, while the other hand is raised in blessing.
The copy, it is believed, has been made by Giacomo Alibrandi and dates back to the 1500s. An investigation is underway to ascertain how it was stolen.
