English all-rounder Ben Stokes who plays for Rajasthan Royals in the Indian Premier League could miss the first half of the tournament as he is currently in New Zealand with his ailing father who battles brain cancer. Stokes who left the Test series vs Pakistan midway to rush to New Zealand to be with his father. According to a report in the Times of India, Stokes has recently completed the 14-day compulsory quarantine upon entering New Zealand and is spending time with his father. The Royals are also waiting to hear from their star allrounder about a possible date of return but are expected to not disturb the Kiwi-born English cricketer.
