Popular messaging service WhatsApp on Monday informed the Delhi high court that it would not defer its new privacy policy, which will take effect from May 15.
Senior Advocate Kapil Sibal, appearing for WhatsApp, said that it was trying to get users on board with the new policy.
The social media intermediary added that in case the users don't agree to its new policy, their accounts will slowly be deleted.
The updated policy will allow WhatsApp to share some data about users' interactions with business accounts with its parent company Facebook.
