California could become the first state in the United States to make it illegal to remove a condom without a person's consent.

According to a report by The Washington Post, Democratic Assembly member Cristina Garcia introduced the legislation that would include the act of "stealthing" in the state civil code.

If the proposed bill is passed, stealthing would be considered a form of sexual battery and victims would be allowed to sue their assaulter for physical and emotional damages.

Is stealthing illegal in India? Experts believe that stealthing should be covered under the laws and can be considered to be amounting to rape as well. However, stealthing is in the grey zone as far as rape laws in India are concerned.
