Sri Lanka edge past a Covid-battered India to win the 2nd T20

After Krunal Pandya tested positive, Team India was forced to put all those who came in close contact with him in isolation and as a result, 4 new debutants played their first T20 for India. Sri Lanka exploited their home conditions to perfection as they edged past India in the 2nd T20 to level the series.

Batting first, India put up just 132/5 from their 20 overs with most batters struggling against the spin and bounce. Interestingly, Team India had just 4 batters with Bhuvneshwar Kumar coming out to bat at number 6.

Sri Lanka in reply huffed and puffed to achieve the target with 4 wickets and 2 balls remaining to level the series. The final game of the series will be played on Thursday.
