S Sreesanth's 7-year-long ban which was imposed on him by the BCCI ended on September 13 and the pacer is free to play cricket now. Talking to the Times of India, the 37-year-old said that it's a massive relief as he has got freedom to play again. Sreesanth added that his first priority is to prove his fitness and represent Kerala in domestic cricket. He though also understands the fact that an immediate return to the field won't be possible as all domestic cricketing activities have been brought to a standstill due to the pandemic. Sreesanth's career hit a roadblock in 2013 when was accused of spot-fixing in the IPL and was banned for life by the BCCI. The life ban was reduced to 7 years in 2019.
