WPL 2023: RCB appoint Sania Mirza as mentor for women's team

In a rather interesting move, the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) appointed Indian tennis great Sania Mirza as the mentor for their women's team ahead of the Women's Premier League (WPL) 2023.

RCB confirmed the development in a Tweet on Wednesday.

After the news, Sania said that she was a little surprised but was excited about the new role.

The Franchise made history at the WPL 2023 auction when they bought Smriti Mandhana at a record price of ₹3.4 crore.
