Ranji Trophy: Saurashtra crowned champions, beat Bengal by 9 wickets to win 2nd title

Jaydev Unadkat's Saurashtra beat home side Bengal by 9 wickets to lift their second Ranji Trophy title in 3 seasons.

Having opted to bowl on a green pitch, Saurashtra made merry as they bowled out Bengal for just 174 on the opening day.

In reply, 4 batters for Saurashtra made scores of 50 or more to give the visitors a mammoth 230-run lead in the first innings.

Anustup Majumdar & captain Manoj Tiwary did score fifties in the second innings but Jaydev Unadkat picked up a 6-wicket haul to restrict Bengal to just 241. 

Even as Jay Gohil fell for a first-ball duck, Saurashtra achieved the 12-run target inside 3 overs to lift yet another domestic cup.
