Paris, Sep 16 (AP) – European champion Paris Saint-Germain is in a better position than previously anticipated as it gears up to commence its defense of the Champions League title.

PSG continued its flawless run in Ligue 1, securing a fourth consecutive victory over the weekend. However, the win was dampened by injuries to Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, Lee Kang-in, and Lucas Beraldo, all of whom had to leave the pitch.

Fortunately for PSG, the club announced on Tuesday, just ahead of their face-off against Serie A opponents Atalanta at Parc des Princes, that only Beraldo remains “under treatment” following a sprain to his left ankle.

This news brings a sigh of relief for PSG, already missing forwards Ousmane Dembélé and Désiré Doué for the upcoming match. (AP)
