Portugal captain Cristiano Ronaldo is set to leave Premier League club Manchester United with immediate effect. Manchester United have come up with an official statement regarding the same stating that the 37-year-old has parted ways with the club by mutual agreement.

"Cristiano Ronaldo is to leave Manchester United by mutual agreement, with immediate effect. The club thanks him for his immense contribution across two spells at Old Trafford." the official statement read.

Ronaldo's departure marks the end of his second spell at Manchester United. The Portuguese player's departure comes days after he criticized Manchester United in an interview saying that he felt betrayed by the club.
