The Mahapanchayat called by Bhartiya Kisan Union (BKU) President Naresh Tikait to discuss the next steps for the wrestlers' agitation has begun in Muzaffarnagar.

Ahead of the meeting between the Khap leaders, Naresh Tikait, who's also the head of the Balyan Khap, spoke of the 5-day ultimatum given to the government after they successfully managed to stop the wrestlers from immersing their medals in river Ganga in Haridwar. Tikait, however, said 'anything can happen after 5 days.'

He also said that whatever the Khap leaders decide in the Mahapanchayat will be acceptable to everyone.
