Wimbledon 2023: Alcaraz cruises into semis after beating Rune, Medvedev ends Eubanks' dream run

Carlos Alcaraz beat fellow young gun and childhood friend Holger Rune to reach the Wimbledon semi-finals for the first time.

It was the first time they had met at a grand slam and it was the Spaniard who came out top with a 7-6 (3) 6-4 6-4 victory on Centre Court.

Alcaraz will play Russian third seed Daniil Medvedev next, who came back from a set down to beat unseeded American Christopher Eubanks in thrilling five sets 6-4, 1-6, 4-6, 7-6 (7-4), 6-1 and reach his Wimbledon semifinals.
