World no. 1Iga Swiatek of Poland had an early moment of embarrassment during her WTA Italian Open match after her mobile phone started to ring during the opening game of their quarter-final contest.
The incident took place during her game against 7th seed Elena Rybakina.
Swiatek, the top seed was later forced to retire with an injury during the third set, and Rybakina will meet 20th seed and 2017 French Open winner Jelena Ostapenko in the semi-finals on Friday.
