American tennis player Madison Keys stormed into her first Grand Slam semifinal in four years after defeating 4th seed Barbora Krejcikova 6-3, 6-2 at the Australian Open on Tuesday.
Keys won the first set through back-to-back aces and took a 3-0 lead before conceding a breakpoint to French Open champion Krejcikova. The American though made a strong comeback and won the first set 6-3.
Keys broke the serve of her Czech counterpart, who failed to cope up with Melbourne heat, twice and with a forehand return down the line, she sealed the second set 6-2.
