Six-year-old Cao Qixian of China's Jiangsu Province set the new women's world record for solving the 3x3x3 Rubik's Cube in 5.97 seconds at the World Cube Association (WCA) Rubik's Cube International Open in Singapore.

Cao Qixian's mother, Qian Jingjing, said, "It was beyond my wildest expectations that she set the world record at such a young age. Truthfully, I felt like we were living in a dream for a couple of days after returning home."
Wang Yinghao, Cao Qixian's teacher, also couldn't hold back his delight at her world record: "She possesses a remarkable talent for mastering the Rubik's Cube and displays an exceptional aptitude for learning. She has successfully clinched multiple national competition championships, and I am immensely delighted by her astounding performance at the World Cube Association (WCA) Rubik's Cube International Open in Singapore."
