With the football world gearing up for the FIFA World Cup in Qatar, Paul Pogba has made a sensational claim that he is being threatened by gangsters who are trying to extort him.

Pogba, who rejoined Italian Serie A club Juventus in July following his departure from Old Trafford, issued a statement after his brother Matthias claimed on social media that he was going to make 'great revelations' about the former Manchester United midfielder. The authorities in Italy and France are investigating the matter.

Pogba is currently sidelined with injury but is expected to recover in time to feature for the French national side at Qatar 2022.
