World number 7 Tennis player Ons Jabeur came in the line of fire after israeli officials filed a complaint against her to WTA for her support for 'Free Palestine' movement as conflict between Israel and Palestine continues.
Ons had taken to her Instagram account to voice her opinion about the ongoing tensions and said that violence will never bring peace and that Palestine should be free of any enimity.
Following the post, the Israel Tennis Association (ITA) issued a statement against her, blaming Ons for supporting a 'murderous terrorist organization.'
ITA chairperson Avi Peretz also stated that a formal complaint has been filed against the two-time Wimbledon finalist.
