A historic milestone for Indian sports has been achieved. At just 22 years old, Manu Bhaker has etched her name in Indian sporting history, creating a legacy that will be remembered forever.

Manu Bhaker has become the first Indian ever to win multiple medals at a single edition of the Olympics, a feat unparalleled in the nation's history. Adding to her bronze medal in the women's 10m air pistol event, she made history once again by clinching a second bronze in the 10m air pistol mixed team event, alongside compatriot Sarabjot Singh.

With this achievement, Manu joins the elite club of Indian athletes, becoming only the third Indian, after Sushil Kumar and PV Sindhu, to win two Olympic medals in a non-Hockey event. She's also the first Indian shooter to win multiple Olympic medals.

Her journey to this incredible moment was not without its challenges. A pistol malfunction during the qualifications at the Tokyo Olympics in 2020 had left her in tears. But now, at the Paris Games, those tears have turned into triumphant smiles.

Manu Bhaker's unwavering focus and determination never faltered. She proved herself to be a stellar team player, delivering under pressure. Even when Sarabjot's performance wavered, Manu's exceptional shooting ensured India's victory over South Korea, securing the bronze with a score of 16-10.

This historic achievement cements her place in India's sporting history as the first Indian to win multiple medals in a single Olympics. But Manu's journey might not be over yet. She still has the women's 25m pistol event to compete in, and given her current form, there's a strong possibility she could leave Paris with three medals. This would mark a glorious redemption after the heartbreak of Tokyo 2020.
