The upcoming edition of the Asian Athletics Championships in Thailand will feature 'Lord Hanuman' as the official mascot.

This special selection coincides with the 50th anniversary of the continental governing body.

The Asian Athletics Association listed out the reasons behind the selection, stating."As Hanuman exhibits extraordinary abilities in (Lord) Rama's service, including speed, strength, courage, and wisdom ... Hanuman’s greatest ability is, in fact, his incredibly staunch loyalty and devotion."

The logo for the 25th Asian Athletics Championships represents the athletes' skills, teamwork, athleticism, dedication, and sportsmanship.

Led by shot putter Tajinderpal Singh Toor and long jumper Murali Sreeshankar, the Indian team aims to make a significant impact in the Championships.

The Indian contingent is set to showcase its prowess over the five-day event.
