Following public backlash, ace American golfer Tiger Woods has apologised for handing his playing partner Justin Thomas a tampon as a 'prank' during the Genesis International.
While playing at the ninth hole during the first round, Woods handed Thomas a menstrual product discreetly after his drive went ahead of Thomas' hit. In reply, Thomas laughed it off and was later seen throwing away the tampon.
The 15-time major champion who was instantly called out for his sexist behaviour had earlier downplayed the gesture by calling it 'all fun and games between friends'. The 47-year-old apologised for his behaviour later and said, 'If I offended anyone in any way, shape or form, I'm sorry'
